In contemporary society, culture still determines our ideas of beauty. In some countries, people like being thinner, while in others, people like being a little overweight. There are no precise criteria to judge what beauty is. If beauty were limited by some criteria, the human race would soon die out. There is physical beauty as well as inner beauty. The latter is found in a wide range of personal qualities. It is inner beauty that requires us to truly see. Beauty is certainly in the eye of the beholder.
